Every great love story has a beginning. Ours started with something wonderfully simple, a small message.

It wasn't a grand gesture or a perfectly planned moment. Just a simple conversation that neither of us realised would change our lives forever. There was even a little suspense before the reply came, but as it turns out, some of the best stories are worth waiting for. Once the conversation began, it flowed so naturally that what started as a few exchanged messages soon became hours of getting to know one another.

Before long, we decided it was time to meet. We still remember that first meeting so vividly, walking towards each other with nervous smiles, racing hearts and countless unspoken thoughts. It wasn't a scene from a movie, nor was it picture perfect. It was genuine, sincere and beautifully real. Looking back now, neither of us could have imagined that such an ordinary day would become one of the most significant moments of our lives.

As the days passed, friendship quietly blossomed into something much deeper. We found joy in the simplest moments, long conversations that stretched late into the night, spontaneous dinner dates, movie nights, laughing over the smallest things and even sharing ice cream at the mall. These weren't extraordinary occasions, yet they became the moments that quietly stitched our hearts together. Looking back, we realise it was never the grand gestures that strengthened our relationship most, but the countless ordinary moments that became extraordinary simply because we shared them together.

From the very beginning, we knew we wanted our relationship to be built on something greater than ourselves. We intentionally chose to keep Christ at the centre of our lives and our love, trusting that if He was writing our story, He would faithfully guide every chapter. Looking back, we know our paths crossed not by chance, but by God's perfect design.

Like every meaningful journey, ours has not been without challenges. There were seasons that stretched us emotionally and spiritually. Moments when uncertainty crept in, when patience was tested and when the future seemed difficult to understand. Yet every challenge became another opportunity to experience God's faithfulness. He strengthened us when we felt weak, gave us peace when we felt overwhelmed and continually reminded us that what He ordains, He also sustains.

One of the greatest chapters of our story was learning to love across the miles. For several months, we found ourselves living in different parts of the world, separated by oceans, time zones and demanding schedules. It wasn't easy. We missed the ordinary things most people take for granted, sharing a meal, going for a drive or simply sitting beside one another. Yet what could have weakened our relationship became one of the greatest ways God strengthened it.

Distance taught us to communicate with greater intention, to pray together more faithfully and to treasure every phone call, every visit and every precious moment we were blessed to spend together. We discovered that love is never measured by proximity, but by commitment. True love continues to choose one another, regardless of the miles between us.

As we look back today, we see God's faithfulness woven through every season of our journey. Every conversation, every challenge, every answered prayer and every milestone has become part of a story far more beautiful than anything we could have written ourselves. Looking ahead, we do so with complete confidence that the same God who began this journey with us will continue to lead, strengthen and sustain us in every chapter still to come.

Today, as we prepare to enter the covenant of marriage, our hearts are filled with gratitude. Our love has been tested, refined and strengthened in ways we never expected. Every season has drawn us closer to each other and even closer to God. We believe with all our hearts that this relationship is part of His divine purpose for our lives and that the future He is calling us into is greater than anything we could have imagined on our own.

Together, we look forward to building a Christ centred home, serving Him faithfully, loving one another wholeheartedly and embracing every chapter He has already written for us. We pray that our marriage will reflect His love, honour His name and encourage others to trust in His perfect plan.

This is not the end of our story.

It is only the beginning of our forever.

What God has written, no distance, no storm and no season could ever erase. By His grace, our greatest chapter is still to come.
